Areas of application

The leakage test (LT) we carry out with a variety of powerful suction cups and vacuum pumps at your sites.

With this test method also castings can be tested for continuity defects (cracks, porosity).

Vacuum bells are particularly used in such cases for leak detection in which specimens are only accessible from one side or if it is open structures (for example, in tank bottoms or drip pans).

The
detection limit, realizable in a practical leakage test, of the bubble test method is about 10-5 to 10-4 Pa * m³ / s (10-4 to 10-3 mbar * l / s).

With the test method suited to our testing equipment, the to be investigated region of the weld or casting surface will be moistured with a foam-forming test medium.

The necessary prerequisite for a successful application of the method is that the defects of material are open
to the surface. The evaluation of the indications is done in daylight at ratios of more than 500lx on the workpiece.

The method is mainly used in industry, such as in plants, equipment and vessels in shipbuilding, pipeline construction, foundries, power plant equipment and in chemical plants.
